I’m a Food Photographer offering food photography services in Sussex, London and across the UK.

I’ve been specialising in food photography for over 10 years, and have worked with a wide variety of wonderful clients including well-known names like: The National Lottery, Higgidy, Tesco, The Guardian, Olive magazine and Prestige Cookware. I’ve also had the privilege of working with lots of smaller, independent businesses, helping them produce beautiful photography to launch their brand, or helping establish their visual identity with pictures that connect with audiences across social media.

I love natural lighting & simple, relaxed food styling that allow the food to be the main focus. A lot of clients choose me for my ability to make food look delicious, yet achievable.

Clients include: Higgidy, Walls, The National Lottery, Tesco, Choccywoccydoodah, The BBC and Prestige cookware. My photography work regularly features in The Guardian, The Telegraph and Stylist Magazine.

In the studio

I have a lovely food photography kitchen studio in Sussex, which offers a calm, light and airy space for us to work in, with access to outdoor space and parking. A lot of my London-based clients prefer doing shoots from my studio as it gives them a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a day by the coast.

On location

Alternatively, my photography set-up is mobile, which is ideal if you need the shoot to take place on location, or at your own premises (ie: to prepare food in your kitchen facility or to feature your premises or staff in shots). My mobile set up is perfect for London Food Photography or indeed anywhere in the South of England.

Frequently Asked Questions

I have a lovely home kitchen studio that is available for food shoots. It’s a calm environment with plenty of space and natural light to work in. I’ll provide plenty of tea and coffee to keep us fuelled during our shoot – and if I’ve been baking, there’ll often be homemade cake too! A lot of London-based clients enjoy doing shoots from my studio as it gives them a chance to escape London’s hustle and bustle for an enjoyable day working by the coast.

I’m based just outside Brighton, in the beautiful county of Sussex, and I work in London and throughout the UK.

My photography set-up is mobile, which is ideal if you need the shoot to take place at your own premises (ie: to prepare food in your kitchen facility or to feature your premises in shots.)

Although I’m based in Sussex, I regularly work as a London food photographer and my set-up is fully mobile so I’m happy to travel to you if you are London-based. Alternatively, if you fancy an enjoyable day by the coast, why not make use of my lovely kitchen studio in Sussex?

I can provide plain backgrounds (white, black and grey). I also have a range of textured backgrounds (marble, slate, wood and stone) for a small hire fee. If you’d like to provide your own backdrop I can provide guidance about what we’ll need for our shoot (minimum size requirements etc).

Some clients provide strict briefs, while others like me to take the lead and provide guidance and help with planning. I’m equally comfortable with either approach and will happily work with you to make sure you get the shots you want.

The lighting I use very much depends on the requirements and conditions of the shoot (where we’ll be shooting, time of day etc).

There’s no doubt that natural light can provide a lovely atmosphere to work in. However, being based in the UK, we aren’t always fortunate to have enough available light to create the quality or style of shots needed for certain shoots, particularly when working during winter months. The nature of my work means I’m required to create lighting to reflect a certain season, time of day or mood, and where this isn’t possible with natural light, I will often use studio lights to subtly replicate the effects of natural light.

During my time as a food photographer London, I’ve been really fortunate to work with some truly amazing food and prop stylists and I am happy to provide recommendations if you are looking to put together a team for your shoot. For smaller shoots I can provide styling, but we can discuss this at the briefing stage.

Interested in working with me?

If you’re interested in working with me, the first step is to get in touch to check if I’m available for the proposed date of your shoot and for info about my rates. It’s also helpful if you are able to give me an idea of any deadlines you are working to so that I can advise you what is possible in the timeframe available.
